This is a hot mess of a book. Interchanging confusing stories, flashbacks that don't connect, long incoherent ruminations inside the character's heads, long long run-on-forever paragraphs that almost put me in a stupor, excessive use of the "f" bomb, and a neat and tidy summation of how all of the characters more or less come out of their earlier years a prospering success. Bad.I think there could be a good story here, but I found myself somewhat daunted by confusing "stream of consciousness" passages from various viewpoints. A whole lot of "telling" and not enough "showing." The author could have greatly benefited from a good editor.
While searching for something different and interesting to read, I took a chance on ordering this for my Kindle. Good thing it was free at the time. I would be upset if I paid good money for this.

The Orange Blossom Express edition by Marlena Evangeline Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I loved this book. Marlena captured the 50's and 60's beautifully. I could smell the orange blossoms and feel the heat and dust of Devore. My visual mind was working over time. A captivating story and a really good read.
A nostalgic look back at how things used to be - maybe not always for the best. Glad that things have changed in many ways.
